Undergraduate Student Training in Academic Research

Eligibility
Transferring to UMBC with a minimum of 60 credits.
Have a 3.2 GPA each semester and a cumulative GPA of 3.2.
Plan to pursue a Ph.D. and a career in biomedical research or mathematics.
Demonstrate an interest in the advancement of underrepresented minorities in the sciences.
Citizen, non-citizen national or permanent resident of the United States.
Agree to fulfill all program requirements including a sustained research project with an approved mentor from UMBC or another nearby research facility throughout the academic year.

Deadline
The MARC U* STAR Trainee Application is due January 25, 2013.
