CyberCorps: Department of Defense, Information Assurance Scholarship Program

Benefits
$14,000 tuition scholarship
$1,250 for books
Summer internship at a U.S. Department of Defense agency (hiring agency announced by DoD upon scholarship award).
Service Requirement: At the same U.S. DoD agency as the internship, one full year for each year or partial year on scholarship OR in the Reserve or National Guard, two full years for each year or partial year on scholarship.
Duration of scholarship: 2 years ր can be extended and more funding provided with agency approval

Eligibility
Cumulative 3.2 GPA
Accepted or applied for full-time enrollment at GW as a junior or higher with a major in an area related to computer security and information assurance.

Health insurance reimbursement up to $1,200
Professional development allowance of $3,000 for SFS Job Fair and other travel
Professional certification
$1,000 for books
Summer internship at an appropriate federal government employer
Service Requirement: At an appropriate government employer, one year for each year or partial year on scholarship
Duration of scholarship: 2 years

Eligibility
Cumulative 3.0 GPA
Accepted or applied for full-time enrollment at GW as a junior or higher with a major in an area related to computer security and information assurance.

Phi Theta Kappa

Members of Phi Theta Kappa honors society who apply to GW are considered for academic tuition scholarships of $7,500 ($15,000 for two years). To qualify for consideration, the applicant must apply to enter GW for the fall semester on a full-time basis, present proof of membership in Phi Theta Kappa and have at least 56 semester hours of transferable credit with a cumulative GPA of 3.7.
