Sleep,Grades, or a Social Life

I'M A SLAVE TO THE TRIANGLE!

Okay this isn't an "ILLUMINATI" rant, i'm talking about the dreaded "College Triangle"

Based on the extremely well crafted diagram you see here (enter sarcasm) you can see that in the College life, you can only choose two of the following, Good Grades, a Social Life, or Enough Sleep.  I just wanted to give you a couple reasons why each of these individually are important and then you can decide.

Good Grades: If you get good grades you have a better chance of excelling in a career. Good grades mean a better chance of getting into a good school, and perhaps getting some scholarships to help finance your education. If you want a career where you'll love what you do, you will drown in those books now to enjoy your success later.

Social Life: We all like to have fun don't we?  A social life varies from people to people, but for the most part we all like to hang with friends.  Having a social life can be beneficial because it can help avoid depression, and quite frankly sometimes we just need some chill time to avoid the daily stresses of school, work, and life in general.  It is important to feel a part of something other than school or work, that's why spending quality time with your friends is an essential part of college.

Enough Sleep: Wouldn't it be great if this choice ruled it all?  Sleep is a human necessity!  The reality is that sometimes we do not sleep enough.  The recommended amount of hours an adult should sleep is seven to nine hours a night.  With school, work, and a social life, seven to nine hours seems impossible.  It is bad for your health if you do not sleep.

I'll leave it to you guys to decide what's more important.

I have a social life, good grades, but lack enough sleep!

I would love to look like this:

But am forced to look like this:

Catch you next time!
