ICARҀs 18 th ALL INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO BACHELOR (AIEEAUG-2013)

ICAR's 18th ALL INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO BACHELOR (AIEEA-UG-2013) AND MASTER (AIEEA-PG-2013) DEGREE PROGRAMMES AND COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION FOR ICAR'S SRF(PGS-2013) IN AGRICULTURE AND ALLIED SCIENCES AT AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITIES FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2013-2014 

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) invites applications from Indian Nationals, in the prescribed format, for ICARҀs 18th AIEEA-UG-2013 and AIEEA-PG-2013 on 100% seats at ICAR-Deemed-to-be-Universities (Bachelor degree at NDRI, Karnal only while Master degree at IARI, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE), and on 15% seats for Bachelor  degree and 25% seats for Master degree at State Agricultural Universities, Central Agricultural University Imphal, Central Universities with Agricultural Faculty (Banaras Hindu University, Viswa Bharati, Nagaland University and Aligarh Muslim University (for PG only) and SHIATS Allahabad for the academic session 2013-14.  Bachelor Degree programmes (viz. B.Sc.Ag./B.Tech./B.F.Sc. etc.) are in the subjects of Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Forestry, Home Science, Sericulture, Biotechnology, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Science, Agricultural Marketing & Co-operation (This examination does not include admission to Bachelor degree programmes in Veterinary Sciences). Master Degree programmes are in the fields of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agri. Engineering, Home Science, Biotechnology, Physical Science, Social Sciences, Dairy Science, Fisheries Science, Veterinary Science and other allied sciences. Based on the results of AIEEA-UG-2013 examination, National Talent Scholarships (NTS) will be awarded to Bachelor degree students whereas based on the merit-rank in AIEEA-PG-2013 examination, 475 ICARJunior Research Fellowships (JRF) will be awarded to Master degree students. Likewise, based on merit in All India Competitive Examination for SRF (PGS)-2013, 202 Senior Research Fellowships (SRF) for pursuing Ph.D. degree will be awarded in different disciplines.

UG  :  Saturday, the 20th  April 2013 during 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
PG  :  Sunday, the 21st  April 2013 during 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. 
SRF (PGS) : Sunday, the 21st April 2013  
   (Paper-I: 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.) 
   (Paper-II: 02:00 P.M. to 04:30 P.M.)

Eligibility Criteria: 
Age:  
For AIEEA-UG-2013(UG Examination):  Between 17 and 23 years as on 31st August 2013 (must have been born between 01.09.1990 to 01.09.1996). Upper age limit will be  relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST/PH. 
For AIEEA-PG-2013(PG Examination):     Not less than 19 years as on 31st August 2013 (must not have been  born after 01.09.1994). 
For SRF-PGS-2013                               :      Between 21 and 30 years as on 21.04.2013, the date of examination. 
Upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST/PH and 3 years in case of OBC categories. For in-service candidates, as specified, maximum upper age limit will be 45 years.  


Qualifying Examination For AIEEA-UG-2013:  
Must have passed and obtained not less than  50% marks in aggregate for admission under General, UPS and OBC categories or 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH categories in 10+2 examination or equivalent/Inter (Agriculture), with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB/ PCA/ PCH subject combinations. Candidate having a compartment/ supplementary in any of the subjects will not be eligible unless proof of having cleared the examination with requisite percentage is available. Candidate appearing for 10+2 examination can also apply but shall produce 10+2 pass certificate with required % marks at the time of counseling. Pass in English in 10+2 examination is essential for admission in some of the Universities.


Cost of Information Bulletin with Application form: 
AIEEA-UG-2013: ` 500/- for General, OBC and UPS categories and ` 250/- for S.C., S.T. and P.H. categories. 
AIEEA-PG-2013: ` 600/- for General, OBC and UPS categories and ` 300/- for S.C., S.T. and P.H. categories 
In addition, ` 25/- per Bulletin would be charged as handling charges plus service tax as applicable, in case of purchase against cash, whereas ` 50/- per Bulletin should be added in the Bank Draft amount towards postal expenses, if requested to be sent by post from COE (Edn). 
SRF(PGS)-2013: SRF-PGS Information Bulletin will be available only ONLINE at www.icar.org.in from 26.12.2012 onwards and a fee of ` 1200/- for General/OBC and ` 600/- for SC/ST and P.H. categories shall have to be deposited through any of the three modes of payment, while submitting the application Online.

NDA I 2013 - National Defence Academy

About NDA
The National Defence Academy is a Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force are trained together before they go on to pre-commissioning training to their respective service academies. It is located in Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra.It was the 1st tri-service academy in the world and is rated amongst the best in the world..

Applicants to the NDA are selected via a written exam conducted by the UPSC, followed by extensive interviews covering general aptitude, psychological testing, team skills as well as physical and social skills, along with medical tests. Incoming classes are accepted twice a year for semesters starting in July and January. 
Cadets who are accepted and successfully complete the program, are sent to their respective training academies for receiving 1 year training before granting of commission, army cadets go to IMA at Dehradun while airforce cadets to AFA at Dundigal, Hyderabad and naval cadets to INA, Ezhimala,Kerala. 

National Defence Academy Examination (I) ր NDA 2013 Exam Date : 7th April, 2013

NDA Exam Eligibility 2013
I. Nationality : A candidate must either be :
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

2. Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st July, 1996 are eligible. The date of birth accepted by the Union Public Service Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University which must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificates. These certificates are required to be submitted only after the declaration of the result of the written part of the NDA Entrance examination. No other document relating to age like horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporation, service records and the like will be accepted. The expression Matriculation / Higher Secondary Examination Certificate in this part of the instruction includes the alternative certificates mentioned above.

3. Educational Qualifications :
For Army wing of National Defence Academy : 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for National Defence Academy examination.

4. Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2013 as per guidelines given in Appendix-IV.

A candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the NDA training academies of Armed forces is not eligible to apply.

How to Apply
Candidates are required to apply NDA Entrance Exam Online 2013 using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in/. Detailed instructions for filling up online applications 2013 for NDA Exam are available on the above mentioned website.

Fee: Candidates (excepting SC/ST candidates/sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs 50/- (Rs Fifty only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

The Online application for NDA Entrance Exam 2013 can be filled upto 21st January, 2013 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled.

National Institute of Design - Admission to Graduate Diploma Programme in Design

National Institute of Design is internationally acclaimed as one of the finest educational and research institutions for Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. It is an autonomous institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and is recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.
GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN DESIGN commences with a two semester rigorous Foundation Programme followed by 3 years of specialized studies in any of the disciplines offered.

Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Design is 2퀀 year programme offered in the specific areas of sectoral specialisation in 17 design programmes under the five faculties.


All candidates fulfilling the requirements of minimum qualification and falling within the prescribed age limit will be called for the Design Aptitude Test (PGDPD or GDPD) to be conducted at 13 centres

Test Centres
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Noida.

NUMBER OF SEATS
Prescribed percentage of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to various reserved categories scheduled as per the norms of the Government of India. Number of seats in the Graduate Diploma Programme is projected to be 100 (includes reserved categories) and for the Post-Graduate Diploma Programme it is 245 (includes reserved categories). For both GDPD and PGDPD, the Institute will draw separate waiting lists with approximately ten percent of the total number of seats available.

Freeships/Scholarships
A number of Freeships/ Scholarships offered by NID, Ford Foundation and Government of India Scholarships are available to the deserving and disadvantaged candidates.



There is no hostel facility for PG students at Ahmedabad and Bengaluru.

*Hostel facility is only at PG campus Gandhinagar for courses offered at Gandhinagar.

How to Apply

For General Category:

The application form may be downloaded from our website. The completed application forms may be posted to NID/handed over physically with supporting documents and Demand Draft of Rs. 1,500/- drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of рNational Institute of DesignҀ payable at Ahmedabad.

For Reserved Category:

The application form may be downloaded from our website admissions.nid .edu. The completed application forms may be posted to NID/handed over physically with supporting documents and Demand Draft of Rs. 750/- drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of рNational Institute of DesignҀ payable at Ahmedabad. The applicant should also send in an attested copy of the relevant reserved category certificate from competent authority.
Attested copies of Caste/Category Certificates required from Reserved Category Candidates: Reserved category candidates must attach relevant certificates of Caste/ Category as per the Government of India rules/format, otherwise the application form will be rejected.
OBC (Other Backward Class) candidates are required to submit non-creamy layer certificate from Collectorate. PH (Physically Handicapped) candidates are required to submit certificate from the Chief Medical Officer (minimum 40% disability).

Overseas Candidates

Overseas candidates applying for admission into Graduate Diploma Programme in Design/ Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Design should send their application along with other applicants in India by November 2, 2012. Such students may attend admission test and interview at Ahmedabad.15 percent seats in Graduate Diploma Programme in Design/ Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Design are reserved for applicants from foreign countries/ SAARC region/ NRIs on supernumerary basis.They should fill in the prescribed application form and send the same with their portfolio to Admissions Office, NID on or before November 2, 2012. Procedure for applying under foreign nationals / SAARC / NRI category:

GDPD Hall Ticket (both copies) duly filled in with recent photographs.
Attested copies of SSC & HSC marksheets (those who are studying presently in HSC, must submit bonafide certificate from the school/ college).
Attested copy of relevant certificate indicating Date of Birth (Upper age limit as on 1st June, 2013 is 20 years for General categoryր Relaxable by 3 years for Reserved categories).
Attested copy of relevant Caste/Category certificate issued by competent authority for SC/ST/PH/OBC non-creamy layer candidates wherever applicable.

PGDPD Hall Ticket (both copies) duly filled in with recent photographs.
Attested copies of marksheets of SSC, HSC, completed years of Graduation and Degree certificate / Provisional certificate / Passing certificate (those who are studying presently in final year of graduation must submit bonafide certificate from the college).
Attested copy of relevant certificate indicating Date of Birth (Upper age limit ason 1st June, 2013 is 30 years for General categoryր Relaxable by 3 years for Reserved categories).
Attested copy of relevant Caste/Category certificate issued by competent authority for SC/ST/PH/OBC non-creamy layer candidates wherever applicable. Attested copies of experience certificate/s, wherever applicable.
