Georgetown University

Georgetown Preferred Consideration Program

For over 20 years, Georgetown University has solicited nominations from a select number of community colleges to participate in the Georgetown Preferred Consideration Program. We are pleased that Montgomery College is one of the select community colleges that Georgetown includes in this program.

This program invites MC to recommend two or three strong applicants interested in continuing their studies at Georgetown. The typical student accepted under this transfer admission program has achieved a college GPA of 3.7 or higher.

Any student who would like to be considered for this Georgetown Preferred Program needs to submit the following documents:
  • A copy of their completed Georgetown application (students need to have applied for Fall, 2013).
  • A copy of the essay they submitted with their application.
  • A letter of recommendation from one of their MC professors.
  • An MC transcript and a transcript from any other post-secondary schools attended.

These documents need to be submitted by Friday, February 22, 2013 to one of the following campus coordinators:

Rockville ր Jessica Present, jessica.present@montgomerycollege.edu
Germantown ր Audrey Hill, audrey.hill@montgomerycollege.edu
Takoma Park/Silver Spring ր roberta.buckberg@montgomerycollege.edu
